Challenge

BDI – 'BioDiesel International AG' is an Austrian company developing technologies for energy generation and providing BioDiesel and BioGas plants. Termomontazas was asked to perform insulation works and cladding on a BioDiesel plant in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Solution

Termomontažas was responsible for pipeline and tank heat insulation using various diameters. Specialized materials like mineral wool (mainly Rockwool) and fiberglass were required for the intricate and harsh surroundings. After insulation was applied, it was necessary for specialized cladding to be carried out due to the shapes and sizes of pipelines.

Result

The newly built plant is the largest industrial BioDiesel plant of this type in Europe. The plant’s new innovative technology produces biodiesel from used cooking oil and animal fats.
